Tungsi Muang Festival Udon Thani, Thailand 2008

This year's Tungsi Muang Festival was bigger and better than last year. I arrived late and missed the street parade because my mother had to have cataract surgery. I did arrive in time for the opening ceremony at the fairgrounds.

A Sad Day from Thailand's Past

A sad day from Thailand's past was reported today by the Japan Times. Tokyo Prosecutors are investigating the alleged bribe of Thai Government Officials from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration involving the rewarding of a contract to build a flood tunnel in 2003.

First test Run of Thai Laos Train Successful

Test runs services are twice per day until July 15. The fare will range from 50 Baht to 20 Baht per person. I recently made a trip to Vietiane it is very impressive and I highly recommend it.
